Carla Jordão born in March 1982, made her graduation in Escola Superior de Dança (2000-2004), in Lisbon, Portugal. In 2016 she finishes the M.A in dance Composition in the Folkwang Universität der Kunste.
She worked as a dancer and choreographer in Companhia de dança de Almada (2004-2006, 2009-2013), where she worked with different choreographers, such as Benvindo Fonseca (Muito Chão/Casa do rio), Clara Andermatt (O Cansaço dos Santos), Guillermo Horta Bettencourt (Arbol Periferico), Jean Paul Bucchieri (Not Possible), Marie Coquil (Contracuerpo), Rui Pinto (Secret Drummings/Secret Smile), Ricardo Ambrozio (Nossos) and Victor Garcia. She worked as well as a dancer in the Kamu Suna Ballet Company (2007), directed by Cesar Moniz.
She participated as a dancer in the piece “7xK” by Mario Mattiazzo and Miguel Angel Gaspar, a piece for the Sommerblut Festival (2008). She was assistance of Célestine Hennermann in the piece „Ich sehe was, du nicht siehst „(2009) and of Johannes Wieland in the piece “Black.silent movie.real fiction.black” for the M.A students of Folkwang Uni (2015).
As choreographer she created “La ligne de vie” (2011/2012) performed in festivals such as: Tala Dance Centre Festival (Croatia), Insoliti Festival (Turin) ProArt Festival (Prague), IX festival of Dance Theathers Zawirowania (Poland); “Self portrait” created in a residence in L’AGORA Guilers (France) premiere in the Festival La Becquée, in Brest (2012) – piece support by Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian and by the Compagnie Pour Un Soir; “Me You You Me” (2013); “Skeletal automaton“ (2015) and “Unruhe“(2016),
Premiere in the Fünfzehnminuten Festival in Köln; the duo “Drafting Plan” in collaboration with Stephanie Miracle, which won the first Price in the SoloDuo Festival (2015) in Barnes Crossing (Köln) and as well in the SzoloDuo Festival in Budapest (2016) in Hungary.
Recently she created the solo “State of suspension”. In 2016 she will create two different pieces one for the Extraschicht – Lange Nacht de Industriekultur (Unna) a second for the Festival Welttheater der strasse (Schwerte).
She has been one of three choreographers chosen for the “Think Big” residence 2016 – Staatstheater Hannover.
Stephanie Miracle is an independent choreographer, performer and teaching artist. She grew up mostly in Tulsa, Ok and partially in Bamberg, Germany.
After receiving her BA in Dance from Belhaven University in Jackson, MS she relocated to New York City where she spent several years performing and making her own work. Stephanie holds a MFA in Dance from the University of Maryland.
As a 2014/2015 Fulbright Fellow she is conducting embodied research on the Tanztheater and the work of Pina Bausch at Folkwang University.
Stephanie’s choreography has been presented at at theaters in New York City, Washington, DC, Virgina, Maryland, and festivals in Mexico, Russia, and Germany.
As a performer she has had the privilege of dancing for Deganit Shemy, Elizabeth Dishman, Avodah Dance Ensemble, Shannon Gillen & Guests, Laura Peterson Choreography, alexan/the median movement, David Dorfman Dance, Joseph Poulson, Susan Marshall and Company, Liz Lerman Dance Exchange, Graham Brown, PEARSONWIDRIG DANCETHEATER, and Deborah Hay.
She is greatly influenced by the work of her mentor Susan Klein.

Sie wuchs in Kavala / Griechenland auf, wo sie das Ballettprogramm der Royal Academy 2005 mit Auszeichnung abschloss. Ihre Grundausbildung begann 2005 an der ‚Hochschule für Musik und Tanz, Köln‘. 2008 wechselte sie an die ‚Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten – AHK‘ als Austauschstudentin.
2009 erhielt sie ihr Diplom in „Bühnentanz“ , 2014 ihren Master of Arts in „Tanzvermittlung im zeitgenössischen Kontext“.
Seit 2009 performt und choreographiert sie für den Regisseur Rolf Dennemann und seine interdisziplinäre Gruppe ‚artscenico performing arts‘, mit Auftritten im In- und Ausland.
2010 erhielt sie ein Stipendium von der ‚Kunststiftung NRW‘ für eine Bewegungs- und Rhythmusrecherche an indischen, traditionellen Tänzen und südindischer Musik in Chennai / Indien. Sie arbeitete zusammen mit zahlreichen renommierten Choreographen, hauptsächlich im Raum NRW, u.a. Alexandra Waierstall, Amanda Miller, Vera Sander, Emanuele Soavi, Massimo Gerardi, Kristof Szabo, Britta Lieberknecht & Company, MINT Company und Helder Seabra.
Mit ihrem Solo ‚Lost in tradition‘ wurde sie 2011 beim ‘SoloDuo-Festival’ in Köln mit dem Preis „bestes Solo“ ausgezeichnet.
Seit 2011 unterrichtet sie unterschiedliche Altersgruppen in zeitgenössischem Tanz von Laien bis Profitänzern. Sie gab Kurse über die Beziehung von Tanz und Musik am Zentrum für zeitgenössischen Tanz und für das ‚TanzLAB‘ im Rahmen von ZAIK, gegründet vom ‚MDKollektiv‘ in Köln.
